Biography
Dr. Jin Yun is a Korean-born clarinetist, educator, and researcher. He serves as Assistant Professor of Clarinet at Valdosta State University and Assistant Executive Director of the Valdosta Symphony Orchestra.
An active performer, Dr. Yun currently serves as Principal Clarinet of the Valdosta Symphony Orchestra and the Northwest Florida Symphony Orchestra. He has performed with ensembles including The Florida Orchestra and Jacksonville Symphony, with performances throughout the United States, Europe, and Asia. He maintains an active performance and teaching career both nationally and internationally.
A dedicated educator, Dr. Yun regularly presents performances, masterclasses, and lecture-recitals at national and international conferences, including ClarinetFest and College Music Society conferences.
Dr. Yun earned the Doctor of Music degree from Florida State University and completed both the Bachelor and Master of Music degrees at Temple University.
Dr. Yun is an artist for F. Arthur Uebel Clarinets and Jewel Musical Products.
