Biography

Erik Mirzoyan is an Armenian clarinetist born on October 18, 2002, in Moscow.
Erik is a student at the Barenboim-Said Akademie in Berlin, studying under Matthias Glander, a soloist at the Berlin Staatsoper, and in the chamber music class of Emmanuel Pahud, a soloist with the Berliner Philharmoniker.

He is listed in the International Encyclopedia of Culture, Art, and Media Figures of Armenia. He is a laureate of the Russian Government Prize for special achievements in the field of culture and contributions to its development. He was a finalist in the international competition "Classic Winds" in Dubai (UAE) and a laureate of the Chieti Classica International Clarinet Competition in Chieti (Italy). He won the Grand Prix at the All-Russian contest "Musical Talents," after which Erik's name was included in the national electronic register "Musical Talents of Russia." He also won the Golden Nutcracker and the Grand Prix at the 13th International Television Competition for Young Musicians "The Nutcracker."

Erik has performed on stage with Daniel Barenboim, Michael Barenboim, Emmanuel Pahud, Nikolai Lugansky, Denis Matsuev, Vladimir Spivakov, Yuri Bashmet, Sergey Smbatyan, Jan Latham-Koenig, Maximino Zumalave, and many others. Erik is a Guest Principal Clarinet of the Academy Orchestra of the Berlin Staatsoper. He is also the Principal Clarinet of the Concert Symphony Orchestra of the Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatory and the Barenboim-Said Akademie Orchestra under the direction of Maestro Daniel Barenboim.

He has performed solo recitals in various cities at concert venues in Armenia, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Spain, Italy, Denmark, France, the United Arab Emirates, China, Vietnam, Russia, Serbia, Slovenia, Belarus, Ukraine, Poland, and many others. As a soloist, Erik has participated in various classical music festivals worldwide, such as:

- The "Festival of Armenian Culture," a concert tour with the Armenian Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Sergey Smbatyan at the A. Khachaturian Concert Hall (Yerevan, Armenia).
- The "Festival for Children's Day" at Teatro Fernan de Gomez (Madrid, Spain).
- The "Festival of Classical Music," a concert tour with an orchestra at Teatro Filarmonico (Verona, Italy).
- "Evenings of Classical Music" at the Foundation Louis Vuitton concert hall (Paris, France).
- The "Peregrinos Musicales" festival, a concert tour in the cities of Madrid, Santiago de Compostela, Sancencho, and Nigrán, accompanied by the Royal Orchestra of Spain under the direction of Maximino Zumalave.
- The "Musical Flowers" festival at the R. Schumann Concert Hall (Düsseldorf, Germany), at the Conservatorio di Musica Giuseppe Verdi (Milan, Italy), various venues in Berlin and Munich (Germany), and at the conservatories of Ljubljana and Maribor (Slovenia).
- The "Classical Music Festival" in Germany, a concert tour in Gütersloh, Bielefeld, Harsewinkel, Verl, Greffen, and Detmold.
- The international festival "Gifted Children," a concert tour in Shanghai (China) and Hanoi (Vietnam).

Erik released his solo debut album "Eternity" and the single "Hungarian Fantasy No. 1," which topped the classical iTunes "Top-200" chart, debuting at number one.

Erik has actively participated in government-level concerts, summits, concerts at embassies of different countries, and so on. He is a constant participant in charity concerts and events aimed at supporting adults and children with disabilities and various diseases.
