Biography

Elena Perales Andreu is a multidisciplinary artist whose practice encompasses performance, improvisation, composition, and visual art. Her work is inspired by the exploration of psychological constructs, the concept of community, the interplay of diverse artistic fields, and the significance of ritual practices. As a clarinet performer, Elena actively engages in the contemporary and experimental music scene, leading her own projects and participating in various festivals such as Darmstädter Ferienkurse – Internationales Musikinstitut Darmstadt (Germany), Ultima Festival (Norway), Impuls Festival (Austria), Ung Nordisk Musikk (Norway), Mixtur (Spain), International Festival Aurora Chamber Music (Sweden), Internationale Junge Orchesterakademie (Germany), Only Connect (Norway), and Svensk Musikvår Festival (Sweden), among others. Additionally, she has showcased her improvisational skills in Spain, Estonia, Sweden, Germany, Norway, Finland, the USA, and Mexico. With a primary focus on contemporary music and art, she holds a Master's degree in Composition and Performance in Contemporary Music (CoPeCo) from the Royal College of Music in Stockholm. Furthermore, she completed her Bachelor's studies in Clarinet Performance at the Norwegian Academy of Music.
