Biography
Ferdinand Bistocchi is a conductor, accomplished musician and conservatoire director. He has won numerous conservatory prizes and distinctions. His broad palette and eclectic taste have enabled him to arrange major classical works, musicals and film scores for symphony and wind orchestras.
As a clarinettist, after graduating from the CRR in Metz, he studied with the master Roland Simoncini in Paris. At the same time, he was 1st clarinet soloist with the N.E.I. (Théâtre de Metz) and the Orchestre d'Harmonie de Metz. He recently joined the Sarr Wind Orchestra as principal clarinettist. He also performs in numerous chamber music concerts.
As a composer, he is the principal composer of the French musicals "Locksley, la Légende de Robin des Bois" and "Charlie Light", and also works for major film productions. In 2016, for example, he collaborated on the music for 'Colonia' (by Florian Gallenberger, starring Emma Watson) and 'Avant l'aube' (by Raphaël Jacoulot, starring Jean-Pierre Bacri).
