Yin Sun is an Uebel artist, the Associate Principal Clarinetist of the Hangzhou Philharmonic Orchestra, and Deputy Secretary-General of the Zhejiang Wind Music Association. He earned his bachelor's degree from Central Conservatory of Music in China, studying under Professor Chunxiao Tao.
In 2009, he served as the Associate Principal Clarinetist of the Guiyang Symphony Orchestra. He then joined the Hangzhou Philharmonic Orchestra in 2011. In 2013, he participated in an exchange program at the Berlin Philharmonic, where he studied under Wenzel Fuchs, Principal Clarinetist of the orchestra, and Professor Ralf Forster Kuhn of the Hanns Eisler School of Music Berlin. He received high praise from both, who described him as "a performer with exceptional musical expressiveness."
In 2023, as part of the first cohort of the Chinese Musicians Association’s Youth Artist Exchange Program for Orchestras, he visited and studied with the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra and performed in the 2024 Hong Kong New Year’s Concert.
