As a professional clarinetist and conductor, Pedro Vicente Alamá is also a professor at the conservatories of Salamanca, Cartagena, Requena, Alicante, and Valencia. His students hold important positions in numerous orchestras and conservatories throughout Spain.
A follower of the musical tradition of his hometown, Pedro was trained in the Banda Primitiva de Llíria and at the Valencia Higher Conservatory of Music, obtaining the highest marks and extraordinary graduate and professional awards.
Pedro has won prizes in international competitions such as Altea (2005), the W.M.C. Netherlands (2009), and the CIBMV - Valencia (2014 and 2025). He is a passionate and creative musician in his projects and has been invited as a clarinet soloist and conductor with the following orchestras, among others: Simón Bolívar Symphony Orchestra, ADDA Symphony Orchestra of Alicante, City of Granada Orchestra, Braga Philharmonic, University of Minho Orchestra, Camerata Instrumental Italiana of Trieste, Andalusia Symphony Orchestra, Madrid Municipal Symphonic Band, Witol Lutosławski Orchestra of Poland, and Youth Orchestra of Taiwan.
Pedro is also a collaborator with the Granada City Orchestra and the Córdoba Orchestra, and a member of the Spanish National Youth Orchestra (JONDE) and the European Union Youth Orchestra (EUYO). His relationship with clarinetist and mentor José Miguel Martínez Falomir has shaped his entire professional career.
Pedro was described by the critics as an expert of Spanish music, and his interpretation “can be considered a Valhalla of symphonic art.”
