New Uebel Artist: Paul Wonjin Cho

Welcome to the F. Arthur Uebel family!


Paul Wonjin Cho, recent appointee as 3rd and Bass Clarinetist of Hartford Symphony Orchestra and principal clarinetist of the Binghamton Philharmonic Orchestra, has been described as a “stylish clarinetist” by The New York Times. He served as guest principal with the American, Harrisburg, Link Up Orchestra of Carnegie Hall, New Haven, and Vermont symphony orchestras, and has performed with the Metropolitan Opera, Orchestra of St. Luke’s, Singapore Symphony, and at the Tanglewood Music Center. Upon completing the fellowship programEnsemble Connect, Cho became a core member of Decoda and gave numerous performancesfrom Carnegie Hall to Sing Sing Correctional Facility, reaching out various audiences. Cho is also a clarinetist at Redeemer Presbyterian Church. He is taught at Adelphi University, University of Kentucky, Skidmore College, and Vassar College and is a faculty member of Horace Mann School. Cho holds degrees from the Korean National University of Arts, Universityof Southern California and the Yale School of Music, and studied with Dong-Jin Kim, Yehuda Gilad, David Shifrin respectively. Cho lives with his wife and a daughter and enjoy riding a bike in the Bronx.
