New Uebel Artist: Danila Yankovsky

Welcome to the F. Arthur Uebel family!



Soloist and clarinettist of the Tyumen State Symphony Orchestra, Russia. He is also a teacher at the Tyumen Art College and the Tyumen State Cultural Institute. Danila leads the group PER ASPERA AD ASTRA and a woodwind quintet called WOODLIFE.


Danila Yankovsky was born in 1983 into a family of musicians. He began studying music in piano class at the age of 7. At the age of 10 he was accepted at the SSMSh in the class of the deserved artist of Russia V. Yankovsky. In 2001 he entered the Glinka Academy and then in 2004 the Hochschule für Musik in Lübeck (Germany), where he studied in the class of Professors Sabine Meyer and Reiner Wehle. Graduated in 2010.

Danila is a prize winner of various competitions such as "Siberian Musical Assemblies", Novosibirsk (Grand Prix, 2002), International Competition. W. Hofmann (II prize, 2002) and many others. In 2003 he was appointed to the G. Mahler World Youth Symphony Orchestra (chief conductor and artistic director Claudio Abbado). In 2006-2007 Danila was the leader of the clarinet section in the Symphony Orchestra of Nations (Germany) under the direction of the principal conductor Justus Franz.

Twice (2007, 2008) he participated in the international project "Clarinet Nights" in Lübeck, with musicians such as: Sabine Meyer, Rainer Veile, Wolfgang Meyer, Paul Mayer, Sebastian Manz and others.

In 2017 Danila was invited to the Dissonance Orchestra (Paris) and played several concerts in different cities of France and after that, in 2019, he substituted in the Music Aeterna Orchestra under the direction of the artistic director and chief conductor Theodor Currentzis.
